The movie
Frank Pavich looks back at the incredible story of Alejandro JODOROWSKY’s film DUNE. A film that was completed but never shot. An insight into one of the most mysterious stories in French cinema. In 1975, Alejandro Jodorowsky and his producer Michel Seydoux began working on an adaptation of the science fiction novel “Dune”, written by Frank Herbert and published in the USA in 1965. The project was to involve Orson Welles, Salvador Dali, Moebius and H. R. Giger, with music by Pink Floyd. But in the absence of a commitment from the American studios, the DUNE adaptation project was definitively abandoned in 1977.
