The documentary
Exuberant, authoritarian and impatient, adored or detested, Lucette Michaux-Chevry left no one indifferent, from her native Guadeloupe to the highest levels of government. She used to say that she entered politics “like a wild beast that fights”. Her scathing repartee, her nerve and her mastery of the issues made her one of the most powerful women in overseas France, and enabled her to keep the justice system at bay for a long time… But where did her extraordinary popularity come from?
