Comic book: Le plus long chemin de l’école (The longest way to school)

The comic book

Le plus long chemin de l’école (The longest way to school) is a comic book by Renaud Garreta and Marie-Claire Javoy. It follows the long and perilous journey of five children, aged 11 to 14, as they leave their childhood village in the small Tibetan enclave of Dolpo for the first time to go to secondary school in Kathmandu.

6 days walking in the high mountains, bivouacking in the middle of nowhere, a 45-minute flight in a small plane, then 20 hours by bus… an incredible annual journey along the paths of the roof of the world to access education.
