The documentary
François is not at all familiar with the wide open spaces of the American West, even if, like many riders of his generation, his equestrian imagination was shaped by the westerns he watched as a child. Curious, he accepts Hervé’s offer, and the two friends share an intense trip through Wyoming and Montana, discovering today’s cowboy culture. They meet several trainers, ride across the plains of the huge ranches on quarter horses, sorting the cattle.
How will François, a defender of classic French equestrian culture, adapt to the American approach, which is both “cooler” and more pragmatic?
Will what the cowboys show him change his equestrian practice?
