For young people from overseas, going to study in mainland France is often a real adventure. Yet 40,000 of them leave the Caribbean-French Guiana, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean or Saint Pierre and Miquelon every year. In 2020, their voluntary exile was confronted with the health crisis and they had to face Covid thousands of kilometers away from their loved ones.
