Fatoun, the daughter of a miserable Italian immigrant family, is incarcerated for robbing a grave. Her two brothers, Luigi and Rico, do everything they can to get her a lawyer. Despite her brothers’ best efforts, Fatoun is condemned to remain locked up in a rehabilitation home until she comes of age. Luigi and Rico decide to leave France for Canada. Before leaving, they visit Fatoun, and instinctively, at the last minute, they break her out and escape in a stolen car…
