The movie
Life looks sweet for Antoine Rivière. As psychoanalyst with a well-established private practice, he lives confortably off his fees and his publications are steadily enhancing his reputation. All would be perfect if he had not made two mistakes. The first was to accept Edouard Berg as a patient. The second was to keep him. So, when Berg claims to have killed his wife, Antoine Rivière can’t tell whether he’s dealing with a compulsive liar or a murderer. How could he possibly know that it’s already too late to react, the trap has sprung shut on him?
