The movie

October 1941. Three young girls enlisted in the Women’s Land Army meet on a remote Dorset farm to replace the men away at war: sassy Prue, a hairdresser from Manchester; romantic Stella, who thinks she’s in love with an ensign; and dreamy Cambridge student Agatha. Their intrusion will turn the lives of the farmers upside down, especially that of Joe, their son, who has been discharged for health reasons. In this rural world, Prue, Stella and Agatha will forge intense bonds with each other and with their hosts that will last a lifetime.
